Mechanical engineer with no practical experience should also carry some knowledge or be aware of skills, things practically happens in any sheet metal manufacturing industry. This blog can help in preparing you like an experience one infront of interviewer.
SPOT WELDING DEFECT FTA We all mechanical/automobiles/ production engineers must be aware of welding processes. The welding process is a process of joining two metal parts due to fusion created at their joining area because of high current/voltage applied at electrode wire. If we want proper, aesthetic, and functional wise well welding then it needs voltage-current ration in define and set rate. Electrode force should be as per define and set amount. Air pressure should also be in a defined quantity. Cooling water used is also properly flowed over the cycle in the system. An operator who is operating a gun for welding should also properly trained about gun angles, tip filing, etc... If everything goes on as per set and define amount then our welding quality must have to be ok. if it's not then we have to face some defect generation. We will see all spot welding defects and their reasons for generation and what should we d...
SPOT CHECKING PROCESSES Spot welding is a process of joining two metals by creating a high current voltage ratio at the joining area and applying force in between 3-6 KN through the electrode. We do spot welding so that metal gets perfectly fitted to other metal and it doesn't affect any functionality of that joinery parts of any automobile. But some times due to some reasons like a supply of voltage-current ratio very low, or force applied through electrode is very low, cooling water supply is off through electrode and it results in Spot gets weak. But we are not able to detect it with our naked eye that its weak or ok spot. If that not ok spot joined parts goes as it is to the customer, it must cause failure in the field of that automotive part. It may result in some big matters like a major accident. To avoid such incidence and for better results or performance of parts in the field, we must use one of those checking methods on sample basics. There are two ways...
